The Charlotte Brain Tumor Program is one of the largest in the nation. The absence of a traditional academic structure, however, creates unique challenges for care givers and patients. Perhaps the most significant of these challenges is the need for precise coordination of care in a complex, multi-disciplinary system.

Renee Kelly was just hired as the first Patient Navigator for brain cancer patietns through a grant provided by The Brain Tumor Fund for the Carolinas (BTFC).  Renee will facilitate care coordination between the multiple specialists responsible for the treatment of individual brain tumor patients and is working with all affiliated brain tumor care givers in the Charlotte region.  She can be reached directly at renee.kelly@cnsa.com or at 704.376.1605.
